Central Election Commission (CEC): The registration process for political parties for the October 4 elections has been completed - 14 parties registered

According to the Georgian Election Administration, the registration process for political parties for the municipal elections has been completed.

As stated in the disseminated information, a total of 17 parties applied to the CEC for the right to participate in the elections, of which three were denied registration.

"The registration process for political parties for the October 4, 2025, elections of municipal representative bodies (sakrebulo) and mayors of self-governing cities/communities has been completed. The election administration reviewed all submitted applications and relevant documentation. As a result, 14 parties have been registered and granted the right to participate in the elections.

A total of 17 parties applied to the CEC for the right to participate in the elections. Three of them were denied registration because they failed to meet the requirements established by law.

The next stage for political parties involves submitting party lists, majoritarian candidates, and mayoral candidates to the relevant election commissions (no later than September 4), after which the verification of the submitted documentation and the subsequent registration process will begin," the statement reads.
