The Tbilisi City Court imposed detention as a preventive measure for Tornike Toshkhua and Mindia Shervashidze, who were detained in connection with group violence on Rustaveli Avenue.

The decision was made by Judge Eka Barbakadze, who granted the prosecution's motion.

The incident on Rustaveli Avenue occurred on July 31, and the police detained the individuals involved on August 16 based on a court order.

They were charged under Article 126, Part 1, Subparagraph "b" of the Georgian Criminal Code (violence committed by a group), which provides for a penalty of up to two years of imprisonment.
