Tazo Datunashvili, one of the leaders of the "Strong Georgia" coalition, was fined 4,000 GEL by a judge.

Datunashvili himself did not attend the hearing.

According to his lawyer, Archil Chavchanidze, the Ministry of Internal Affairs accused Datunashvili of petty hooliganism and insulting and mistreating a public official.

The case relates to an incident that occurred after Mate Devidze’s court hearing. Datunashvili was leaving the courthouse when court security officers and patrol police used force to remove him from the premises.

According to the party, prior to this, "several security officers attacked Datunashvili inside the courthouse and physically assaulted him."

Lawyers demanded that an investigation be launched into the incident under the article for abuse of official authority.
