As noted in the statement, Sweden maintains its strong support for Georgia’s civil society.

“The increasing pressure on civil society organisations in Georgia is concerning, including the recent freezing of assets. This decision is yet another step in the wrong direction for democracy in Georgia. Sweden maintains its strong support for Georgia’s civil society”, reads the statement.
