Georgian Dream MPs leave parliament building amid chants from protesters

“Slaves, go to Russia” - amid these chants, the Georgian Dream deputies are leaving the legislative body.

The participants of the demonstration are protesting the conclusion of the temporary investigative commission on the issue related to the August 2008 war, in parallel with the plenary session ongoing in the parliament.

Initially, they held the demonstration behind the parliament building, after which they moved to April 9 Street, next to the entrance to the parliament. The deputies who left the legislative body were shouted at: “Slaves,” “Traitors to the country.”

They also attempted to block the road, but the police on the scene did not allow them to do so.
