Some of the protesters who were detained on administrative charges on Rustaveli Avenue on September 2 have been released from the courtroom due to the expiration of the 48-hour administrative detention period. Breaks have been announced for the proceedings, after which the session will resume.
Those released at the moment are Albi Kordzaia, Shushana Matsaberidze, Mariko Tsomaia, Tatia Apriamashvili, Rusudan Maghradze, Beka Papashvili and Mariam Udzilauri.

"After blocking the road, we, activists dispersed. Several activists took shelter in one of the cafes. A few kilometers away, I heard screams, of course, I ran and saw a police car opposite the opera. My familiar activists were screaming, I realized that they had been arrested... When I said, let me go, a policeman grabbed me from behind and threw me into the car. First, they were holding me in the building, and then we were taken to the Akhaltsikhe detention center - me, Tatia Afriamashvili, Shushana Matsaberidze and Nene Gablaia. The girls are terribly bruised. In my case, it was a rude arrest and completely illegitimate, simply because I was standing near the police, they put me in the car. They recorded that I was swearing and insulting, which was not the case," said Albi Kordzaia.
For information, on September 2, 23 people were arrested on Rustaveli Avenue under Articles 166 and 173 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, which refers to resisting the police and petty hooliganism.
