Yesterday, there was a shooting at the restaurant “Qvevri.”

According to existing information, the incident is connected to a financial dispute between the restaurant’s co-owners. Reportedly, the shooting was preceded by a physical confrontation. The incident took place late at night.

According to “TV Pirveli,” the conflict was between the restaurant’s owner, Zurab Tibua, and Levan Baslandze, who is also one of “Qvevri’s” co-owners. The same report states that Baslandze first physically assaulted Tibua and then fired a shot in an unknown direction.

As the Ministry of Internal Affairs told “Interpressnews,” the investigation is being conducted under Article 236 of the Criminal Code, which refers to the illegal acquisition, possession, and carrying of a firearm.
