Georgia’s national football team is playing its second group-stage match of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Bulgaria.
The match is taking place in Tbilisi, at the Dinamo Arena.
Head coach Willy Sagnol has announced the starting lineup: Mamardashvili, Azarovi, Goglichidze, Lochoshvili, Kakabadze, Kochorashvili, Mekvabishvili, Gagnidze, Kvaratskhelia, Davitashvili, Mikautadze.
For today’s match, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is the captain of the Georgian national team.
For reference, Georgia played its first match against Turkey and lost 2:3.
In total, the six-round qualifying stage places Georgia in Group E alongside Turkey, Spain, and Bulgaria. The team finishing first in the group will automatically qualify for the World Cup to be held in Canada, Mexico, and the United States, while the second-placed team will continue the fight for a spot through the playoff stage.
