The Czech government has approved the introduction of visa obligation for holders of Georgian diplomatic and business passports, Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky writes on social media.

According to him, the corresponding measure suspends visa-free travel for Georgian officials.

“At my proposal, the Government approved the introduction of visa obligation for holders of Georgian diplomatic and business passports. This is how we react to disrespecting human rights, suppression of demonstrations and weakening civil society. The measure suspends visa-free contact with Georgian official”, reads Jan Lipavsky’s statement.
