Ruslan Abashidze has been appointed as Georgia’s Ambassador to the Czech Republic

Ruslan Abashidze has been appointed as the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Georgia to the Czech Republic.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs released this information.

“Ruslan Abashidze has been working in Georgia’s Foreign Ministry since 1996. From 2009 to 2013, he served as the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Georgia to the Republic of Estonia, and from 2013 to 2015, he was an Ambassador-at-Large.

Ruslan Abashidze has significant experience working in public institutions. In various years, he held the positions of First Deputy State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality and Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia.

Ruslan Abashidze has been granted the diplomatic rank of Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador,” the statement reads.
