Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze stated that the UN General Assembly is an important platform that must be used to ensure “the world hears the truth.”

Commenting to the media on Mikheil Kavelashvili’s participation in the UN General Assembly in the United States, Kakha Kaladze noted that the main task of his team is to start relations from a clean slate.

“It is yet another important platform that must be used to ensure the whole world hears the truth. The messages we hear from some congressmen are filled with lies and are against our country. Our main task is to start relations from a clean slate, including with the U.S., to deepen friendly relations, partnership, and so on,” Kaladze stated.

Mikheil Kavelashvili has traveled to the United States.

According to the press service, during his visit to New York, Mikheil Kavelashvili will deliver a speech at the 80th session of the UN General Assembly. Mikheil Kavelashvili will also hold a meeting with UN Secretary-General António Guterres.
