Mikheil Kavelashvili meets with UN Secretary-General

Mikheil Kavelashvili met with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres. According to Mikheil Kavelashvili’s press service, special attention was paid to the importance of peace and sustainable development at the meeting. Georgia's role in ensuring peace and stability in the South Caucasus region was noted.

The meeting also focused on the challenges facing the world.

As Mikheil Kavelashvili noted, the vector of peace, stability and economic prosperity chosen by the Georgian government is unshakable, for which the UN Secretary-General thanked the President of Georgia.

“At the meeting, Secretary-General Guterres noted that we have withstood great pressure. He thanked us for choosing such a correct path of peace, stability and development. Everyone sees this, notes it, and such assessments are very pleasant,” said Mikheil Kavelashvili.

He also made a memorable entry in the UN Book of Honorary Guests.
