Austrian MEP Helmut Brandstätter has responded to the arrest of Gela Khasaia, a member of the Girchi-More Freedom party, and stated that the Georgian Dream government has become a real nightmare for the Georgian people.

“Freedom for Gela Khasaia! The Georgian Dream is now a real NIGHTMARE for the freedom loving people of Georgia,” the MEP wrote.

For information, the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested Gela Khasaia, a member of Girchi-More Freedom, on charges of intentional infliction of minor bodily harm. According to the agency, another person has also been detained together with him.

According to the MIA, the investigation established that the defendants, based on a mutual dispute, inflicted various types of bodily harm on R.Ch., born in 1975, and fled the scene. The injured person has been taken to a clinic.
