MIA: Police officers are mobilized in various locations throughout the capital - we call on the organizers and participants of the rally to hold their assemblies within the framework established by law

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in order to protect public safety and public order, employees of the relevant police units of the agency are mobilized in various places throughout the capital in connection with the rally planned in Tbilisi.

“In order to protect public safety and public order, employees of the relevant police units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are mobilized in various places throughout the capital in connection with the rally planned in Tbilisi on October 4 of this year. We call on the organizers of the rally and participants to hold a gathering-demonstration within the framework established by the legislation of Georgia, to obey the lawful request of the police officers and not to interfere with the performance of their official duties. Each fact of violation of the law will be followed by an appropriate legal response from the police,” reads the statement issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
