Gia Volski: Tamar Taliashvili’s visit to the State Department is not related to yesterday’s events - there was a business discussion, and Trump personally sent a gift, including the famous “Make America Great Again” hat

“What I can confirm is that there was a business discussion, and in addition, I can confirm that Trump personally sent a souvenir, a gift - including the famous ‘Make America Great Again’ hat,” stated Gia Volski, the First Vice-Speaker of the Parliament, to journalists, responding to information that Tamar Taliashvili was summoned to the U.S. State Department, where “deep concern” was expressed over statements made by government representatives.

According to him, Taliashvili’s summoning to the State Department is absolutely unrelated to yesterday’s events.

“Regarding Tamar Taliashvili’s visit to the State Department, it is absolutely unrelated to yesterday’s events or to the activities of those who claim that torturing a person or burning them with a Molotov cocktail is somehow a European standard. What I can confirm is that there was a business discussion, and in addition, I can confirm that Trump personally sent a souvenir, a gift - including the famous ‘Make America Great Again’ hat. This I can confirm,” Volski stated.
