Paata Burchuladze, Murtaz Zodelava, Irakli Nadiradze, Paata Manjgaladze, and Lasha Beridze will be formally charged on October 6

The Prosecutor’s Office will present charges against the leaders of the "Rustaveli Avenue" movement, Paata Burchuladze and Murtaz Zodelava, the "United National Movement" member Irakli Nadiradze, one of the leaders of "Strategy Aghmashenebeli" Paata Manjgaladze, and Colonel Lasha Beridze on October 6 at 10:30 a.m.

As a reminder, on October 5, the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained the leaders of the "Rustaveli Avenue" movement – Paata Burchuladze and Murtaz Zodelava – as well as "United National Movement" member Irakli Nadiradze, "Strategy Aghmashenebeli" leader Paata Manjgaladze, and Colonel Lasha Beridze. They were members of the organizing committee of the October 4 rally.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, they are accused of "inciting the violent overthrow of the constitutional order of Georgia or the removal of state authority, as well as organizing, leading, and participating in group violence." These crimes are punishable by up to nine years of imprisonment. The investigation is underway under Articles 317, 222, 225, and 187 of the Criminal Code.
