Giorgi Sharashidze: Our elected deputies will enter the city councils, and the parliamentary boycott was a mistake, and there are several ways to correct it - we are analyzing it and will make a decision

We admit that the parliamentary boycott was a mistake. However, there are several ways to correct this mistake - in the near future we will conduct a serious analysis of the ongoing processes and make an appropriate decision. So far, at this stage, we are not ready for a specific decision, - one of the leaders of the party Gakharia for Georgia, Giorgi Sharashidze, told journalists, answering the question "What does the party's updated action plan mean and does it include the use of parliamentary mandates?".

Sharashidze, answering the question about the party's alleged use of parliamentary mandates, added - "Let's see, let's see, we will inform the public about this plan through your media in the near future."

“You know very well that we remain in a political boycott. Of course, admitting a mistake is characteristic of our team and, in my opinion, a necessary quality and skill for a politician. We have never had a problem admitting our mistakes. Even now, we admit that, of course, the parliamentary boycott was a mistake. However, there are several ways to correct this mistake. We will conduct a serious analysis of the ongoing processes in the near future and make an appropriate decision. At this stage, we are not ready for a specific decision yet. The public will find out what our action plan will be.

In reality, the analysis of the situation allows us to draw the conclusion that since the political process has died, we feel our responsibility for this and the street remains the only alternative to the political process. Naturally, this led us to the results we have reached. The so-called government, or Dream, is not the only one responsible for this. I am also talking about the role of the National Movement because we believe that in everything that happened, which gave the Dream an additional opportunity to further strengthen its autocratic regime, which gave Tbilisi to the corrupt Kaladze for the next 4 years, which led to the discrediting of peaceful protests and which gave rise to another nihilism and disappointment among peaceful citizens, among our thousands, tens of thousands of patriots, both the Dream and the National Movement bear responsibility for this,” Sharashidze said.

As for the city councils, Sharashidze noted that the deputies elected from their party lists to the city councils “will continue to fight to protect the interests of their voters and citizens.”

"We entered these elections so that people would have worthy representatives in the form of members of our team, including in city councils, municipalities, city halls, etc. Of course, we cannot leave these citizens alone with the Dream and naturally, all the deputies who, despite this rigged result, have been elected to the city council in a number of municipalities, will of course continue to fight to protect the interests of their voters and citizens. Of course, this will happen," said Giorgi Sharashidze.
