The demand of the Georgian population regarding the expulsion of this or that ambassador will be counterproductive as long as the “deep state”-controlled Eurobureaucracy makes decisions on ambassador appointments, stated Irakli Kirtskhalia, the leader of the parliamentary majority, during a briefing at the Georgian Dream office.
Kirtskhalia noted that Georgia has been building relations with specific countries over the years, and they will not allow the “deep state”-controlled Eurobureaucracy and the undiplomatic actions of ambassadors to ruin the achieved results.
“As both the Georgian and international communities clearly see, we continue professional relations with these ambassadors, countries, organizations, and institutions, and we do not take the drastic steps that a large part of our country’s population demands.
Of course, our policy is based on a specific plan. We have repeatedly stated that the influence of the ‘deep state’ is clearly felt in the structures of the European Union today, and many Eurobureaucrats work for them. Accordingly, against the backdrop of seeing how difficult it is for Europe today, how significant the ‘deep state’s’ influence is there, and how challenging a situation they have put many EU countries and the EU structures in general into - the behavior of specific ambassadors should not surprise us, as the Eurobureaucracy is staffed with representatives of those countries whose ambassadors act so rudely and undiplomatically in Georgia.
Considering all of the above, it is clear that the Georgian population’s demand to expel this or that ambassador will be counterproductive as long as the ‘deep state’-controlled Eurobureaucracy makes decisions on ambassador appointments.
It should also be noted that our state has been building and developing relations with these countries for years, and therefore, we will not allow the ‘deep state’-controlled Eurobureaucracy to ruin the achieved results at the level of state and people-to-people relations due to the undiplomatic actions of ambassadors.
It is obvious that expelling an ambassador of a specific country will trigger a series of diplomatic moves that will negatively affect relations between Georgia and those countries.
Therefore, given that sooner or later the ‘deep state’s’ influence in Europe will weaken - signs of which are gradually emerging in several countries and their populations - we remain in a unilateral friendship regime, as we believe that the current situation is temporary. Under no circumstances should we allow the statements and actions of ambassadors or Eurobureaucrats to strain our friendly, partnership relations with the European Union and European countries.
To put it more simply, we will remain in a unilateral friendship regime until Europe frees itself from the influence of the ‘deep state.’ At the same time, we will do everything to ensure that the ‘deep state’s’ influence does not spread to Georgia, as we already know well the consequences this has for our country and its people.
We believe that with this approach, we will achieve the results we are striving for,” Kirtskhalia stated.
