Police have detained a doctor, academician Giorgi Chakhunashvili.

Criminal police officers were at Giorgi Chakhunashvili's house for several hours, after which the police arrested him.

According to reports, the arrest is related to the events that took place in Tbilisi on October 4.

A large number of police were mobilized in the area surrounding the doctor's house. Civil activists were also present at the scene.
