Another person arrested in connection with October 4 events - total number of detainees reach 46

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia has detained another person in connection with the events that took place in Tbilisi on October 4.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a total of 46 people have been detained as of now.

"Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are continuously conducting relevant operational-investigative actions to identify and detain those individuals who committed violent acts in Tbilisi on October 4.

Within the framework of the ongoing investigation into the aforementioned criminal case, employees of the Central Criminal Police Department have detained another individual - G.K.. In total, 46 individuals have been detained by the police.

Law enforcement officers continue to conduct a comprehensive study of the evidence obtained in order to take appropriate legal measures against all individuals involved in the crime.

The investigation is underway under Articles 317, 222, 225 and 187 of the Criminal Code," reads the information.
