Mikheil Kavelashvili pardons 70 people in connection with Svetitskhoveli holiday

Mikheil Kavelashvili has pardoned 70 people in connection with the Svetitskhoveli holiday.

The pardon applied to 42 people serving non-custodial punishment and 24 people serving prison sentences, while 4 people had their convictions expunged.

“The use of the exclusive powers granted to him by the Constitution by the President of Georgia is based on the principle of humanism and state interest,” the press service reports.
