“Luka Kurtanidze faces charges under four articles: domestic violence, property damage, violation of property ownership rights, and violation of a restraining order. Regarding these, we do not admit guilt in three of the charges. Eldar Kurtanidze has admitted, and we acknowledge, the charge under Article 126, which pertains to domestic violence. We believe he was a victim of significant provocation by the injured party and regrets his actions. He believes his response was disproportionate, that there was some physical contact, but not in a way that caused severe harm to Ms. Khatuna. However, he was a victim of severe provocation. His response to this provocation was disproportionate, and he believes he should have exercised greater restraint. He expresses remorse for his actions before society and the justice system. As a public figure, a respected person with a certain authority and aspirations, he seeks forgiveness from society and deeply regrets his actions. In this regard, he acknowledges his guilt,” Meparishvili stated.
