A passenger suddenly passed away at Samgori metro station. This was reported in a statement issued by the Tbilisi Transport Company.

As noted in the statement, investigative procedures are ongoing at the scene, resulting in the closure of several metro stations.

“Train operations on the first line of the Tbilisi Metro are partially disrupted. The disruption was caused by the sudden death of a passenger at Samgori metro station. Investigative procedures are underway at the scene, due to which the Samgori, Isani, and Varketili metro stations are closed to passengers. Trains are currently serving passengers from Akhmeteli Theatre to 300 Aragveli and vice versa. Operations on the first line will resume once the relevant authorities complete the investigative process,” the statement reads.
