Georgia’s Defense Minister is currently in the Kingdom of Belgium. This information was released by the Ministry of Defense.

According to the Ministry, Irakli Chikovani participated in the 31st meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group held in Brussels in the Ramstein format.

“The international group’s meeting, held at NATO Headquarters, was hosted by Germany’s Defense Minister Boris Pistorius and the UK’s Secretary of State for Defense John Healey. The meeting was attended by heads of defense ministries and senior officials from NATO member and partner countries.

The participants reviewed the situation of the ongoing war in Ukraine and discussed the needs for military assistance.

The Ramstein format was established in April 2022 at the initiative of the United States. Since February 13, 2025, it has been coordinated by the United Kingdom in collaboration with Germany,” the statement reads.
