The protest on Rustaveli Avenue has resumed: citizens have blocked the roadway

The protest on Rustaveli Avenue has resumed, with citizens blocking the roadway.

Participants have brought Georgian and European Union flags to the site.

"Let’s stand together on Rustaveli. The new repressive laws are already in force, so today we must be many on Rustaveli. Let’s stand together today until victory,” the protesters say.

The continuous protest in front of the legislative body has been ongoing for 324 days.

The demonstrators’ demands remain unchanged: hold new elections and release those detained during the protests.
