Employees of the Adjara Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, through operational and investigative actions conducted at different times, arrested two foreign nationals—G.U., born in 2004, and V.U., born in 1993—on charges of illegal acquisition, possession, and facilitation of the sale of large and particularly large quantities of narcotic substances. This information was released by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
According to the Ministry, the crimes carry a penalty of up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
“During searches of the suspects’ personal belongings, residences, and vehicles, as well as from various locations, law enforcement seized large and particularly large quantities of narcotic substances prepared for sale, including ‘Alpha-PVP,’ ‘cocaine,’ and dried ‘marijuana,’ as evidence.
The police also seized materials used for packaging narcotic substances.
The investigation is being conducted under Articles 260 and 260-quarta of the Criminal Code of Georgia,” the statement reads.
