Germany recalls ambassador from Georgia for consultations

The German Foreign Ministry has decided to recall Peter Fischer, Germany's ambassador to Georgia, for consultations, as stated in a statement from the German Foreign Office.

“For many months, the Georgian leadership has been agitating against the EU, Germany, and Germany's ambassador to Georgia, Fischer. Therefore, Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul has decided to recall Ambassador Fischer for consultations regarding further actions,” the statement reads.

The ministry explains that tomorrow, October 20, the EU Foreign Affairs Council will discuss the issue of Georgia.
