We reiterate our solidarity with our German colleagues and Ambassador Peter Fischer, the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry says in a statement posted on the social platform X.

According to the ministry, the unfounded accusations, aggressive rhetoric and attacks made against the ambassador by representatives of the Georgian Dream are totally unacceptable

“We reiterate our solidarity with our German colleagues and Ambassador Peter Fischer: the unfounded accusations, aggressive rhetoric and attacks by Georgian Dream representatives against him are totally unacceptable. Such attacks only deepen Georgia’s self-isolation," the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry said.

The post comes after the German Foreign Ministry issued a statement, stating that the German Ambassador to Georgia, Peter Fischer, has been recalled for consultations.
