Defense Minister met with Nikol Pashinyan

Georgia's Vice Prime Minister and Defense Minister Irakli Chikovani is in the Republic of Armenia. This information is disseminated by the Georgian Ministry of Defense.

According to the agency, during the official visit, Irakli Chikovani met with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

"During the meeting, the parties discussed the traditional friendly relations between Georgia and Armenia, as well as current issues on the bilateral cooperation agenda. Special emphasis was placed on the strategic partnership between the two countries. The discussion touched on the importance of peace and stability in the region. Vice Prime Minister and Defense Minister Irakli Chikovani once again reaffirmed the Georgian side's readiness to contribute to the development of regional cooperation. He highlighted the historic significance of the joint declaration signed between Armenia and Azerbaijan in Washington and stated that the agreement will significantly contribute to strengthening long-term peace and stability in the South Caucasus. The meeting with the Prime Minister also addressed cooperation between the two countries in the defense sector," the information states.

The Defense Ministry notes that Defense Minister Irakli Chikovani is in the Republic of Armenia at the official invitation of his colleague, Suren Papikyan.
