Shame on the Georgian Dream, which is trying to turn Georgia into another Belarus, MEP Nathalie Loiseau said, echoing the announcement of the Sakharov Prize winners by European Parliament President Roberta Metsola.

“The European Parliament just awarded the Sakharov Prize to Mzia Amaglobeli, together with Adrzej Poczobut from Belarus. Shame on the Georgian Dream, trying to turn Georgia into another Belarus. Mzia must be released, as all political prisoners. Repression has to stop,” Nathalie Loiseau wrote on X.

For information, imprisoned journalists - the founder of Netgazeti and Batumelebi Mzia Amaglobeli and Belarusian journalist Andrzej Poczobut - became the winners of the 2025 Sakharov Prize.
