Gela Udzilauri sentenced to life imprisonment for premeditated murder of businessman Levan Jangveladze

Tbilisi City Court found Gela Udzilauri guilty of the premeditated murder of businessman Levan Jangveladze and the attempted murder of his driver, Gia Chaduneli.

Judge Giorgi Gelashvili sentenced Udzilauri to life imprisonment.

At today's hearing, the defense presented its closing arguments. Udzilauri also made a final statement.

By the judge's decision, defendant Gela Udzilauri was found guilty under Article 109, Subparagraphs "b" and "n", Article 19/109, Subparagraph "b", and Parts 236-3-4 of the Criminal Code.
