Protesters block Rustaveli Avenue

A protest rally is underway near the Parliament. Some of the protest participants have blocked Rustaveli Avenue.

It is worth noting that initially the protest participants gathered on the sidewalk near the Parliament.

After blocking Rustaveli Avenue, the police called on the protest participants to move off the roadway and protest in accordance with the law. The protest participants did not obey the police call, and formed a human chain.

The protest rally has been ongoing on Rustaveli Avenue for 311 days.

The demands of the protesters on Rustaveli Avenue are unchanged - to call new elections and release those detained during protests.
