Police in Adjara detained three Turkish citizens wanted by Interpol under a Red Notice

Employees of the Adjara Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of operational measures and investigative actions, detained three citizens of the Republic of Turkey who were wanted by Interpol under a Red Notice.

This information was released by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

According to their statement, Turkish law enforcement authorities were seeking these individuals for charges of intentional murder, robbery, unlawful deprivation of liberty, and the commercialization/sale or distribution of narcotics or psychotropic substances under an Interpol Red Notice.

"Employees of the Adjara Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of operational measures and investigative actions, detained citizens of the Republic of Turkey - M.T., born in 1998, O.U., born in 1993, and I.K., born in 1975 - who were wanted by Interpol under a Red Notice.

Turkish law enforcement authorities were seeking M.T. for intentional murder, O.U. for robbery and unlawful deprivation of liberty, and I.K. for the commercialization/sale or distribution of narcotics or psychotropic substances under an Interpol Red Notice.

The detainees had crossed the Georgian border before they were officially listed as wanted.

As a result of investigative actions conducted by law enforcement, all three individuals were detained in Batumi at different times.

Currently, extradition procedures provided for by law are underway for the detainees," the statement reads.
