Kakha Kaladze on Gakharia’s party decision to enter parliament: If we look at the opposition spectrum and that traitorous agency, these people turned out to be the smartest after all

"By the way, it’s a very good decision. If we look at the opposition spectrum and that traitorous agency, these people turned out to be the smartest after all," said Kakha Kaladze, General Secretary of "Georgian Dream" and Mayor of Tbilisi, evaluating the decision of the "Gakharia - For Georgia" party to enter parliament.

As Kaladze noted, Giorgi Gakharia’s party realized that their initial decision not to enter parliament was foolish.

"Gakharia’s party cannot grant legitimacy to the parliament; legitimacy is granted by the Georgian people. The Georgian people have already given legitimacy to 'Georgian Dream - Democratic Georgia,' the parliament, and the specific party in question. By the way, it’s a very good decision. If we look at the opposition spectrum and that traitorous agency, these people turned out to be the smartest after all. They conducted some analysis, made assessments, and realized that the decision not to enter parliament was foolish. Of course, this harmed specific political parties and politicians. It didn’t take anything away from 'Georgian Dream' or the parliament," Kaladze stated.

For reference, the "Gakharia - For Georgia" party ended its boycott of the October 26, 2024, parliamentary elections and decided to enter the 11th convocation of the parliament with its 12 members.
