Nino Datashvili's detention has been replaced with a 5,000-lari bail

The court replaced the pre-trial detention imposed on accused Nino Datashvili with a lighter preventive measure and set bail at 5,000 lari.

Specifically, the prosecution filed a motion to change the type of preventive measure, which was agreed to by the defense lawyers and the accused, Nino Datashvili.

"Releasing me from here today is my salvation. I want to thank the doctors, but nothing helped, and I need two surgeries," Nino Datashvili stated.

For information, the trial of teacher Nino Datashvili is ongoing at Tbilisi City Court. Due to her health condition, the accused is attending the court session remotely.

For reference, Nino Datashvili was detained on June 20 in connection with an incident that occurred on June 9 at Tbilisi City Court. She was charged under Part 3 of Article 353 Secunda of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which refers to assault on a public servant during the performance of official duties. This offense carries a penalty of a fine or imprisonment from 4 to 7 years.
