Infrastructure Minister: We will no longer use technical salt in tourist zones during winter - we will try to switch to a completely new model for road maintenance

According to Infrastructure Minister Revaz Sokhadze, technical salt will no longer be used in tourist zones during the winter period.

He stated this during his speech in Parliament, where deputies are questioning him under the interpellation procedure.

"A new strategy and standards for road maintenance are being developed. It is very important that we take innovative steps in maintenance. For example: in tourist zones, we will already try this year to avoid using technical salt during winter, as it creates significant discomfort both during the tourist season and is quite damaging to the roads. Starting next year, we will try to switch to a completely new model for road maintenance," Revaz Sokhadze stated.
