"I am bidding farewell to party politics as well and, based on my personal statement, leaving the parliamentary list," stated Akaki Gvinianidze, former deputy of the Batumi City Council and member of the "Gakharia for Georgia" party.
According to him, he will continue his pedagogical activities.
"Today my mandate in the Batumi City Council officially expired. It was a great honor to serve in the City Council for the benefit of our city and fellow citizens, for which I thank the voters and the team that gave me this opportunity.
At this stage, I am also bidding farewell to party politics and, based on my personal statement, leaving the parliamentary list. I plan to devote more time to continuing my studies and pedagogical work.
I wish success to the people alongside whom I fought for a just cause over these years.
I remain an active citizen and part of civil society.
Once again, I thank each of you for your support and encouragement," Gvinianidze states.
