The National Statistics Office of Georgia publishes statistics on foreign visitors to Georgia in the third quarter of the current year.
According to Geostat, in Q3 2025, 3.0 million entries by international non-resident travelers were recorded on the territory of Georgia, which is 6.6% more than in the same period of the previous year. They explain that the vast majority of entries, 40.7%, were made by travelers aged 31–50.
"In Q3 2025, the number of international visitors reached 2.2 million, which is 7.6% more than in the same period of the previous year. During the reporting period, 2.0 million tourist-type visits were made by international visitors, which is 9.0% more than in the same period of the previous year. 80.8% of international visitors were only tourists. The share of only excursionists was 15.4%, while 3.8% of visitors were both tourists and excursionists.
In Q3 2025, the largest number of visitors, 567.1 thousand, was recorded from the Russian Federation, accounting for 26.1% of the total number of visitors. Second place was Turkey with a 16.5% share, and third was Armenia with an 11.8% share. Accordingly, the largest number of visits were made by citizens of the Russian Federation (664.6 thousand), Turkey (430.0 thousand), and Armenia (329.3 thousand).
The majority of visitors (45.4%) belonged to the 31–50 age category, while women accounted for 48.2% of the total number of visitors.
In Q3 2025, the largest part of visits (58.7%) was made for the purpose of rest, entertainment, and recreation. The majority of visits were made to Tbilisi and the Adjara A/R, with 1,306.3 thousand and 1,274.4 thousand visits, respectively.
In Q3 2025, the average number of nights spent during visits was 6.3 nights, which is 2.1% more than the figure recorded in Q3 2024 (6.2 nights). 73.3% of the visits were repeat visits.
Expenses incurred during visits in Q3 2025 amounted to 6.2 billion GEL, which is 8.6% more than in the same period of the previous year. The average expense per visit increased by 1.7% compared to Q3 2024 and amounted to 2,467.5 GEL," the information released by Geostat states.
