Kakha Kaladze: It's really great that the Arab EMAAR group is entering - There is no danger at all - We have laws, a constitution, our services are up to the task, and citizens' safety will be protected

According to Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze, there is no threat whatsoever associated with EMAAR's entry into Georgia and the implementation of a $6 billion investment in the country. He stated that the country and its population are protected by relevant laws and the constitution.

Kaladze responded this way to a question regarding the residential complex planned by the Arab investment company EMAAR Group in the Krtsanisi forest-park, specifically whether the fact that the complex's space will mainly be sold to foreigners poses a risk to the country's security, territorial integrity, and demographic balance.

Kaladze explained that a $3 billion investment will be implemented near Tbilisi, which is also something to be proud of because it will help the country's economy.

"At first, they were saying it was impossible for EMAAR - such a massive global company - to enter Georgia. They accused us of lying, as if we were spreading false information. Accordingly, it's really great that this company is entering Georgia and implementing a $6 billion investment. There is no danger at all, because we have laws in our country, we have a constitution. Our relevant services are always up to the task, and the safety of every citizen in this country will always be protected. As for the investment itself, approximately $3 billion will be implemented near Tbilisi. Regarding the project itself, in terms of content, there will be a presentation very soon; there is nothing to hide here. I don't remember such a scale of direct foreign investment ever being implemented in the country. Never! It's also something to be proud of because it will contribute to the country's economic growth, promote the creation of new jobs, and a properly implemented project will emerge near the city in accordance with the development regulation plan, which is, of course, fundamentally important for our country," Kaladze stated.
