At the session of the 8th convocation Tbilisi City Council, where consent must be given to the new composition of Tbilisi's government, there was a verbal confrontation.
Specifically, Otar Chrdileli, a representative of the City Council's "People's Power" faction, and Vato Surguladze, a deputy from "Strong Georgia-Lelo," clashed with each other.
The confrontation began after Otar Chrdileli told Vato Surguladze that they were bolstering and encouraging anti-state rallies with financial and human resources.
"You were bolstering and encouraging anti-state rallies with financial and human resources. In February, when you realized everything was falling apart, you latched onto Gakharia separately. Also, your opaque actions with the German ambassador! You couldn't answer anything! One day you say one thing, the next day another!" Chrdileli addressed him.
In response, Vato Surguladze replied that they are afraid of the opposition and should not speak to him while wagging a finger.
"Don't talk to me with your finger like that - somewhere else! You're afraid, that's what it is. You're afraid of us [the opposition]!" Surguladze addressed him.
