Eurobureaucrats wanted the Georgian government to have no right to go to court. That is, it turns out they are offering to overthrow us and we shouldn't even have the right to go to court, - "People's Power" deputy Dimitri Khundadze stated this while discussing the reactions of European partners to the banning of three opposition parties.
According to Dimitri Khundadze, this is unjust, unacceptable, and goes beyond democratic principles.
"Of course, it is unacceptable for democratic principles when someone is prohibited from going to court, though we remember the attitude of Eurobureaucrats toward the court when they tried to bring the court under their control and also to revise court decisions in embassies. Now, they wanted the Georgian government to have no right to go to court. That is, it turns out they are offering to overthrow us and we shouldn't even have the right to go to court. Of course, this is unjust, unacceptable, and goes beyond democratic principles. This not only damages relations with Georgia but also damages true European values themselves, which will, of course, harm Europe as well," Dimitri Khundadze states.
As a reminder, "Georgian Dream" filed a lawsuit in the Constitutional Court demanding that three political entities - "National Movement," "Coalition for Change," and "Lelo - Strong Georgia" - be declared unconstitutional.
