Tazo Datunashvili: The enlargement report told Georgian Dream and the citizens, without any concealment, that under Georgian Dream’s rule, Georgia’s European future is over — following a Moscow-written scenario, Georgian Dream has buried the country’s European perspective

According to Tazo Datunashvili, one of the leaders of "Strong Georgia – Lelo", the enlargement report published yesterday by the European Commission makes it clear — without any diplomatic language — that under Georgian Dream’s governance, Georgia’s European future has come to an end.

“Citizens of Georgia must realize the grave reality our country faces today. Yesterday’s report directly, without any diplomatic phrasing or concealment, told Georgian Dream and the citizens of Georgia that under Georgian Dream’s rule, the country’s European future is finished.

It is impossible to achieve any progress under Georgian Dream. On the contrary, compared to the moment when Georgia received candidate status, the country is now much further behind in terms of development — particularly in human rights, democracy, and all other components required for EU membership.

This pathological attitude of Georgian Dream follows a script written in Moscow, and it has now become evident that under this Moscow-scripted scenario, Georgian Dream has buried Georgia’s European perspective.

When it’s said that Georgia’s candidate status exists only on paper, it means that under Georgian Dream’s rule, the country’s European integration process has come to a halt,” said Tazo Datunashvili.
