The Anti-Corruption Bureau has fined Mamuka Khazaradze, the leader of the Lelo - Strong Georgia party. According to the Anti-Corruption Bureau, the case concerns the results of monitoring the declaration of property status, within the framework of which the completeness and accuracy of the declared data were checked.
As the Anti-Corruption Agency told InterpressNews, Mamuka Khazaradze’s declaration does not reflect complete data, including the real estate lease agreement signed between his wife and the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany.
“The Anti-Corruption Bureau monitored Mamuka Khazaradze’s asset declaration submitted on January 27, 2025, within the framework of which the completeness and accuracy of the declared data were checked.
As a result of the monitoring, multiple violations were identified, namely, Mamuka Khazaradze’s asset declaration does not reflect complete data, including the real estate lease agreement signed between his wife and the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany.
In addition, it is noteworthy that Mamuka Khazaradze requested additional time to submit documentation within the framework of the monitoring, which was satisfied by the Bureau, however, despite the additional deadlines, he did not submit all the necessary documentation to the Bureau. Inter alia, Mamuka Khazaradze failed to submit information about the accounts in his name in foreign banks.
Based on the above, Mamuka Khazaradze was fined by the Anti-Corruption Bureau based on Article 20, Part 1, of the Law of Georgia on Combating Corruption,” the Anti-Corruption Bureau noted.
The Anti-Corruption Bureau did not disclose the amount of the fine.
