Georgian Dream is accelerating the digging of its political grave, - the chairman of the political council of the party Lelo - Strong Georgia, Badri Japaridze, told journalists at the Prosecutor's Office, where he will be charged with sabotage.
As Japaridze told the media, the government itself is engaged in sabotage.
“A few days ago, we celebrated 35 years since the democratic elections in 1990. During these 35 years, my task has always been to resist the sabotage carried out by the state, the violent overthrow of the democratically elected government, which took place in 1992. I was in the parliament building then. My personal path has always been aimed at protecting the state from sabotage, and now the government, which is directly sabotaging our country, our European future, is accusing us of sabotage. Of course, this is the fulfillment of a political task by the Prosecutor's Office, and the task is to destroy politicians and politics, but I think that by doing this, the Georgian Dream is accelerating the digging of its political grave. The absurdity that I heard that we are being accused of sabotage against the state is the opposite of the reality, because the reality is that the Georgian Dream is engaged in sabotage towards the state. Our task is to confront sabotage with constitutional, peaceful, political methods. The only way to change the government is elections, and these elections will definitely bring peace to the country, the unification of society. Our task should be to calm the society and not increase the confrontation, but eliminate it," Japaridze said.
As for another accused, another leader of Lelo-Strong Georgia, Mamuka Khazaradze, he did not come to the Prosecutor's Office because he is not in Tbilisi.
