Prosecutor’s Office: A person has been charged in connection with the incident in Dmanisi, where the victim was thrown from iron stairs after multiple blows to the face, and the person who died from the injuries was buried in their own yard

The Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia has charged one person in connection with the murder that occurred in Dmanisi.

Specifically, according to the authorities, the charge was brought against a person who, after delivering multiple blows to the victim’s face, threw them from iron stairs. The victim, who suffered fatal injuries, was buried in their own residential yard.

“An investigation conducted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs established that on October 24 of this year, in the city of Dmanisi, the defendant, motivated by revenge, intentionally killed the victim by delivering multiple blows to their face and throwing them from iron stairs. The victim died at the scene due to life-threatening injuries. The defendant buried the body in the yard of their own residence.

Law enforcement authorities became aware of the victim’s disappearance on November 5, 2025.

The authorities arrested the defendant on the same day. They have been charged under Article 108 of the Criminal Code of Georgia (intentional murder), which carries a penalty of up to 15 years of imprisonment,” the statement said.
