The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) delegation is meeting with the civil sector in Tbilisi.
As the Director of Fair Elections, Levan Natroshvili, stated after the meeting with the delegation members, the current situation in the country, the human rights situation, will be discussed at the meeting.
“This is a regular visit that is periodically carried out in Georgia. They are interested in the human rights situation. The meeting is dedicated to this. They are interested in the situation in various areas, in the civil sector, in terms of human rights protection, in the media, etc. The questions were about the situation of civil organizations - how we manage to continue our work, what is the situation in the sector, what are the restrictions in the country. We described the difficult situation that is happening in the country,” Natroshvili said.
The PACE delegation will meet with the opposition today.
