In Sighnaghi, the body of the 20th victim of the Turkish military plane crash has been found – search operations at the site have been completed

Search operations at the site of the Turkish military plane crash in Sighnaghi Municipality have now been completed.

The body of the final, 20th victim was recovered at the crash site.

This information was confirmed to InterpressNews by the Emergency Management Service.

For reference, on November 11, a Turkish military aircraft crashed in Sighnaghi Municipality, approximately 5 kilometers from Georgia’s state border. The plane was flying from Azerbaijan toward Turkey.

Regarding the incident, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia launched an investigation under Article 275, Part 4 of the Criminal Code, which concerns the violation of air transport traffic safety or operational rules that result in loss of human life.
