Omar Okribelashvili, convicted of damaging the iron barrier at the entrance to the Parliament, leaves prison

Omar Okribelashvili, another person convicted of damaging the iron barrier at the entrance to the Parliament, has left prison.

He was met by his family and relatives as he left the penitentiary.

Earlier, Saba Meparishvili, another person convicted in the same case, left prison.

For information, 20-year-old Omar Okribelashvili and 23-year-old Saba Meparishvili, who were arrested on May 14 on charges of damaging the iron protective barrier at the entrance to the Parliament, signed a plea agreement on January 20.

According to the plea agreement, Omar Okribelashvili and Saba Meparishvili were found guilty of the charges. They were sentenced to 3 years, however, as a result of the amnesty, they served 2.5 years of the sentence, of which the convicts had to serve 1.5 years of actual punishment and 1 year of suspended sentence.
