Grigol Gegelia, one of the leaders of the Lelo-Strong Georgia party, is calling on the government to make public the details of the contract relating to the Eagle Hills project.
According to Gegelia, Georgian Dream is once again insulting Georgian democracy and the country’s national interests.
“The so-called Prime Minister of the unrecognized regime says that he is ready to answer any specific question regarding the Arab project. It is inconceivable how he should answer anything when the entire contract is classified, or how the public should ask questions, in the context of the so-called government hiding the contract from its own people. Kobakhidze should answer one main question: why is he hiding the details of the contract from the Georgian people, which concerns 9 million square meters of Georgian strategic land, demography, ecology and the future of our cities and country? There is also a second important question: has the 1.2 billion corresponding to the Arab 67% share been deposited in Georgian banks as a counterweight to the 600 million Georgian investment? This is another rhetorical trick of the Georgian-hating regime, which once again insults Georgian democracy and our national interests. First of all, we call on the so-called government to immediately make the contract public," said Gegelia.
