The EPP is the mother party of the criminal and evil party, the National Movement. As for the investigation related to corruption, I want to assure them that there is no point in breaking the open doors, they have been investigated better by the Georgian law enforcement agencies, - said the Vice Speaker of the Parliament, Nino Tsilosani, responding to the statement of opposition politicians that a resolution on Georgia was adopted at the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly.
According to Tsilosani, "If the EPP initiates any resolution and introduces some principles, we must a priori understand that we are dealing with the wrong process."
"When we talk about the content of any resolution, let's see who initiated it. The EPP is the mother party of the criminal and evil party, the National Movement. It has supported and justified their actions throughout all these years, not only during their opposition radicalism, but also during Saakashvili’s harmful and evil actions. If this party initiates any resolution and introduces some principles, we must a priori understand that we are dealing with the wrong process.
As for the investigation related to corruption, I want to assure them that there is no point in breaking the open door. The aforementioned corruption facts have been investigated better by the Georgian law enforcement agencies. I think that the corruption facts of EPP members, whether in the European Parliament or in various formats, should be more interesting to them than the corruption cases already investigated in Georgia. Of course, all this was under our focus and interest, to eliminate any possibility of corruption. We are glad that the EPP agrees with us in this. However, it is doing everything in the most harmful and wrong way.
Our representative Maia Bitadze, who was present at this very meeting, certainly provides us with correct information regarding who can initiate the resolution or participate in the procedures. The fact is one - it does not matter whether the resolution in question is ultimately adopted and supported or not, the fact that Tina Bokuchava, Gigi Tsereteli, through their foreign patrons, are moving through the corridors of this institution and spoiling Georgia's work is important," Tsilosani said.
In addition, Tsilosani spoke about the non-invitation of Georgia to the EU Enlargement Forum. According to her, this is explained by the fact that there is a "biased approach and a desire to politically punish Georgia."
"If the EU really wants to expand, Georgia is a country with unique opportunities that has done a lot over the years to become the best among the candidate countries. It was a leader in various areas across the EU, including economic growth, the fight against corruption, etc. In the conditions when Georgia is not invited to a certain forum, how can this be explained? It is unthinkable. If the goal of this forum is to work on EU enlargement issues, then why should a country that is one of the flagships of implementing reforms and implementing the best principles not be invited. There is only one explanation for all this, a biased approach and a desire to politically punish Georgia. Why Georgia is being punished, any Georgian knows this. For years, Georgia has been punished because the political grouping of violent people desired by informal rulers cannot come to power. They cannot implement the policy that they wanted to implement, even in the 2022 war," he said.
